About Brad Byrd:

Born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts, the 28 year old singer/songwriter has been writing songs since high school, however it wasn’t until his years at Syracuse University when he truly began developing his talent as a musician. Brad Byrd began his musical career as a drummer and guitarist playing with college buddies Adam Cohen and Pete Yorn.

After graduating college, Brad headed to New York City with a backpack and a dream. His early recordings caught the attention of music manager veteran Chip Quigley (Sugar Ray/Talking Heads) and Brad soon put his focus and energy behind finding a talented producer and making a great record. This determination set Brad on a path to Los Angeles where he began recording with producers Evan Frankfort (Wallflowers/JayHawks) and R. Walt Vincent (Pete Yorn).

After recently finishing an album’s worth of material entitled “The Ever Changing Picture,” Brad assembled a talented group of musicians and is now performing in the LA area after a recent tour on the East Coast and opening act for Jurassic 5 at this year’s Teva Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado. With the full backing band in tow, the rock-in-roll foundation of the songs from “The Ever Changing Picture” are brought front and center. Check out Brad doing it live at select venues around L.A. including his monthly residency at the world renowned Original Farmer’s Market. Aside from live shows, you can hear Brad’s music on the “Nomadic Anthology” Vol.II of the new music CD sampler from Teva Footwear which also features new releases and exclusive tracks from such artists as Joe Strummer, Ben Harper, and Josh Rouse, among others.

Brad’s music has also been featured in “Jake 2.0”, the critically acclaimed show on the UPN television network, as well as achieving the #1 downloaded singer/songwriter title on the Artist Direct.com charts in May of 2004. Impressive company to say the least, but listen for yourself. To characterize Brad’s music as one rock genre or another is too restrictive; its simply great singer/songwriter/rock music for the discerning ear. If your lucky enough to see him live, you’ll know why.
