| More About David Carless David Carless is an independent singer and guitarist playing self-penned songs in a refreshing style. Following several years based in the United States, David is now firmly rooted in the Southwest of England where he indulges his love of the ocean and open space! His recent songs draw heavily on highs and lows of life in a wild, rugged and beautiful part of the world. David’s style combines the melodies of pop and the intimacy of folk with emotive vocals and a percussive guitar technique. While his first CD ‘The Black Dog’ was recorded on both sides of the Atlantic with a selection of English and American musicians his new CD ‘Welcome to the Sun’ was very much a solo project recorded in minimalist lo-tech style in a small studio in Bristol, England. This material forms the backbone of his live performances – a dynamic and varied collection of songs with percussive acoustic energy and eye on those illusive ‘killer melodies’! |
