The Best of Kyf Brewer Of course the cover of this CD is a take off on the "Reefer Madness" film - and a pretty cool design it is too. But thank God the music is even better than the cover. Kyf Brewer is one of those very special musicians - songwriters - artists who couldn't write a bad song if his life depended on it. His next band was Company of Wolves who were signed to Polygram, but after their first album didn't live up to mass merchandising expectations, the band went indie and actually surpassed their debut album with Shakers and Tamborines and Steryl Spycase. Enter Kyf Brewer - Solo Artist! The first solo effort called Me and My Big Mouth gives away Kyf's penchant for humor, at least in his album titles. This CD features a multitude of catchy tunes like Diesel and Slow Motion not to mention Soul Jerky and one of the best tunes in his repertoire, Turning into Elvis. Then comes Salvador Deli and the humorous titles continue. Here Kyf demonstrates just how cool you can be as a songwriter with tunes like the massively hip Everything She Says and Nothing to do with Being in Love as well as many others. Then came Bright Jewels - a CD that he didn't even know he had in him. If it's possible for an artist to get better with each and every release, then look no further than Kyf Brewer.
