Shovelhook is a Philadelphia based five piece hard rock band whose clever songwriting and high energy live show has captivated audiences throughout the Northeast and Midwest. Chris Holt played guitar and sang for Liquid Gang, signed to LAVA/Atlantic with a 2000 international release titled "Sunshine" which sold over 11,000 copies before they disbanded in 2001. Chris has toured with the likes of Stone Temple Pilots, Linkin Park, Staind, Disturbed and Sevendust. Rob Holt and Frank Holt, with their band WNOC, have performed with Big Audio Dynamite, Sugar Hill Gang, Gold Finger and Schoolly D, as well as being hand picked by U2 to open for them at Hershey Stadium to start the ZOO TV Tour. Shovelhook is currently playing shows up and down the east coast and into the mid west building a loyal fan base and street team crew while successfully promoting their self produced debut album "Blood Royal."

Shovelhook was selected as one of the bands for the Matt Hardy Show (www.thematthardyshow.com) which boasts more than half a million viewers each week. This New Jersey-based online reality show is targeted towards WWE fans waiting for Matt’s triumphant return to wrestling. The songs "Gave Up" and "So Sorry" have been featured in the show.
Shovelhook’s song, “Breathe” was chosen to be the theme song for the television show, Blaine’s Low Carb Kitchen, which currently airs in prime time reaching 35.5 million households nationwide on Discovery Network's Fit T.V.
Shovelhook has received airplay on XM Satellite Radio with the song "R.I.P." being featured on Radio-Unsigned's RADAR Report.
